Charity begins at home.

Our customers surely are the BEST ever….

We raised £125 for The Samaritans this weekend, Friday 10th with Papa Tuke Tuke and his UKE sing – a – long with guests Lorna, Lila and Colin.

We also raised £450 for Carrutherstown Village Hall at our race night on Saturday 11th.

Such wonderful generosity and spirit in our wee community.  We love it!

Something new… a bit of socialising for retired farmers.. we think this is a wonderful idea and support it fully.. would love to make it a regular event and to meet some folks from nearby who we don’t know yet.  In our rural community there are many so together let’s get them to come along and meet others 🙂

We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the D & G Retail Business Awards.  After a year that brought more trials than tribulations we can honestly say this really warmed our hearts.  Good luck to everyone involved as it is a competition at the end of the day though I am certain every single business nominated is a treasure in it’s own right.

Blind date…. when Fern met Mark…

A few weeks ago some of you will remember our Blind Date Show compered by local nutter Ian McLatchie – On that night couple number 2 were matched up when Fern picked Mark.  The next week they met up  to start their date at Hetland Garden Centre where we “thought” a bit of cleaning in the soft play area would be fun….

Filmed on location at the wonderful Hetland Garden Centre, Salon Belissimo, Alive Radio, Aura, Barbours of Dumfries and Kinmount Hotel.  With much gratitude to all for without you the dates would not have been possible.

Also thanks to GE Edwards photography, AKA Graham Edwards for all photographs and videos and also to Graham Anderson for embracing the whole concept and allowing our couples to join him live on radio.
